Hawaii - Islands
Where to go
When contemplating a trip to Hawaii, one must ask the essential question: what is the true purpose of this getaway? Is it merely to relax by the beach, indulging in local cuisine and savoring leisure? While there's value in those experiences, I believe travel should offer more than just relaxation. Hawaii is a treasure trove of magical moments waiting to be discovered, like the stunning Hana Drive in Maui, known for being the world's 2nd wettest spot, or the chance to witness breathtaking whale watching and sail into a picturesque sunset. Among the islands, Maui stands out as my personal favorite, particularly for the enchanting Molokini and Turtle Town . This paradise is not just about chilling; it's an adventure that beckons you to explore its wonders.

What to eat
When visiting Maui, treat yourself with a variety of delicious local dishes. Fresh poke, a Hawaiian staple made from marinated raw fish, offers a burst of flavor that captures the essence of the islands. For a refreshing taste, lomi lomi salmon combines salted salmon with ripe tomatoes and onions, creating a vibrant dish. Don't forget to indulge in shaved ice, delightful dessert perfect for cooling off on warm days, topped with colorful syrups and sweet condensed milk. Dong forget to give mai tai cocktail a try. Lastly, the local seafood, particularly mahi mahi, promises a fresh and flavorful experience that showcases Maui's rich culinary heritage.
Dining on Maui can be a delightful yet costly experience, so it’s wise to plan accordingly. I recommend selecting one or two upscale restaurants for a special night out, allowing you to savor the local cuisine without breaking the bank. If you're looking to save a few dollars, don't overlook the happy hour specials available at many eateries—these can be a fantastic way to enjoy discounted drinks and appetizers while enjoying the island’s scenic views. Enjoy your culinary exploration!

What to wear
When planning your Maui getaway, it’s essential to consider the myriad of activities that await you—beach days, road trips, snorkeling, or romantic dinners. To make the most of your experience, having a well-thought-out packing list is crucial. Start by including essentials like swimwear and snorkeling gear for those underwater adventures, renting one is very pricy, comfy clothes for long drives along the coastline, and a couple of dressy outfits in subtle prints for delightful dinners under the stars. Don’t forget sunscreen, a good hat, and a sunglasses to stay safe under the Hawaiian sun.
