Why Christianity is Important

Today’s youth crave authenticity and are genuinely passionate about social justice and advocating for marginalized voices. Christianity serves as a compelling framework for addressing these justice issues. When articulated effectively, it becomes apparent that if young people are aiming to champion human rights, the Christian worldview provides the most coherent foundation. While some atheists assert belief in objective morals, many young individuals struggle to accept the notion of absolute morality. Without a divine standard, human rights could easily devolve into a collection of subjective opinions.

Take, for example, the campaigns for equal opportunities by LGBT groups; the core Christian belief in the inherent value of every human being underlines the idea that we all deserve to be seen and treated with dignity. Without this grounding, the question arises: where does the authority to advocate for equality come from? Who determines which beliefs or truths hold the most weight?

The unique message of Christianity shines here—only in Jesus do we find the profound reality of God sacrificing Himself for our shortcomings. Other faiths, like Hinduism, do not offer a lasting solution for the burden of karma or the relief of a guilty conscience. Similarly, Allah in Islam remains distant, offering a mere system of merit for forgiveness.
