Makeup Over 40: Light, Intentional, Effortless

At this point in life, I don’t want a full face of makeup — I want to look fresh, rested, and feel like me.

Makeup for me now is simple, strategic, and skin-first. I don’t cover everything. I highlight what I love. It’s about softness, radiance, and enhancing what’s already there — not hiding behind layers.

This is what I reach for when I want to feel pulled together, whether I’m filming a vlog, heading out locally, or just needing that little lift.

My Everyday Makeup Flow

1. Tinted SPF or Skin Tint

I skip foundation most days. A breathable tinted moisturizer usually home made or sheer natural oils that gives me glow without weight.

2. Cream Concealer (Only Where I Need It)

Mostly around the eyes or spots. I avoid heavy under-eye coverage — a light touch looks fresher.

3. Brow Touch-Up

Brushed-up brows and a bit of tint or pencil make a huge difference in framing the face.

4. Cream Blush

I love a soft peach or rose that melts into the skin — adds life instantly.

5. Mascara or Lash Tint

Just enough to open the eyes. Some days I skip it — but a little lift goes a long way.

6. Tinted Lip Balm or Gloss

Moisture, color, and glow in one. I love shades that match my natural lip tone with a hint of depth.

✨ Optional add-ons: soft highlighter, light setting powder (just on the T-zone), or a natural eyeliner smudge if I’m going out.

What I Don’t Do (And Don’t Miss)

  • Heavy contouring

  • Harsh lines or matte finishes

  • Complex layering

  • High-maintenance lipsticks

Makeup shouldn't fight with your skin — it should move with you, glow with you, and feel effortless.

My Go-To Tools

  • Fingers (best blending tool!)

  • One soft brush for blush

  • Brow brush

  • Clean lip gloss wand
